Washington, D.C. (January 25, 2024) – In a groundbreaking effort to amplify Latino voices and civic participation, Includus Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a more inclusive and equitable world by investing in public-interest projects and LENUSA, a live-entertainment music agency, announced their partnership and the launch of Grita. Canta. Vota. The campaign, which translates to Shout. Sing. Vote., seeks to harness the unifying power of music to inspire and mobilize Latino voters. Through collaborations with prominent musicians in the Regional-Mexican and Latino music scene, the campaign will create a vibrant platform that resonates with the community and educates Latinos on the voting process ahead of the 2024 election.

Grinta. Canta. Vota.’s $10 million campaign will include investments in paid media (TV, radio, and digital), voter registration events, get out the vote concerts, and much more. In addition, it will prioritize states which have large Latino populations and low-propensity voters who often feel marginalized in the political process. The priority states include Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. Through these investments, the campaign seeks to reach and educate over 10 million eligible Latinos and register at least 100,000 voters.

In addition, throughout the campaign musicians such as Chiquis, Lupillo Rivera, Banda El Recodo, Los Huracanes del Norte, Xavi and more will play a crucial role, infusing their influence to amplify the message and connect with diverse Latino audiences.

LENUSA Cofounders and Brothers Euler and Esau Torres:

“As former professional musicians, we’ve met and entertained diverse Latino audiences

in every region of the country. Through our travels we’ve seen firsthand how different our community is, however we’ve also learned that we share similar values and struggles and that music ultimately unites. Our experiences as first-generation Mexican-Americans and insights in the Latino music industry inspired us to execute our vision of working with Latino musicians to engage, educate and register our community to vote. We’re tired of being forgotten and viewed as a ‘sleeping giant’ and hope to mobilize nuestra gente and empower all eligible Latino voters to use their voice and cast a vote in the 2024 election and beyond.”

Includus Fund Founder and President, Bacilia Angel:

“We are excited to launch the Grita. Canta. Vota. campaign, a unique initiative that combines the power of music and civic engagement. As one of the largest growing voting populations in our nation, it’s critical now more than ever for our Latino community to use the power of our vote to ensure our voices are heard and our priorities and needs are not an afterthought. With the support of our incredible artist lineup, we aim to inspire and mobilize the Latino community to actively participate in shaping the future of our nation.”

Joshua Xavier Gutierrez “Xavi”:

“My generation is leading the cultural revolution that’s elevating Mexican music on the global scale. We have a powerful voice and deep pride in our roots. Music unites us and it will mobilize my generation to vote!”

Chiquis Rivera:

“We need to be the change we want to see in the world. Voting is our responsibility and our right as citizens. What excites me about Grita. Canta. Vota. is seeing our community take ownership of our destiny together as one with the power of our vote.”
